This is one of
the newest Fly-In Lodges in Northern Manitoba. Newly
finished in 2006, it is located in the most spectacular
"fly-in fishing" and "pristine wilderness" anywhere in
Canada! This is the first lodge ever built on this lake.
The lodge has 6 bedrooms with 12 beds, two complete
bathrooms equipped with hot showers and flush toilets.
Spacious eating and dining area with electric freezer,
refrigerator, propane stove, hot water heater &
barbeque. There are three lounging decks offering
spectacular views of the sunrises and sunsets and of
course the "Northern Lights". Along with this lodge is a
hunting concession that encompasses over 3,000sq. miles
including 5 other outpost cabins covering over 25 lakes.
This includes the grand slam of Canadian Fishing:
Northern Pike, Walleye, Lake Trout & Arctic Grayling.
Outposts
Each of the six lakes provide exceptional fishing for
Trophy Pike and Walleye. In addition, Lake Trout and
Arctic Grayling are available at some lakes. The lakes
are designated as "High Quality" fisheries by the
province of Manitoba and are located in the heart of
unspoiled wilderness northwest of Lynn Lake, Manitoba
and are only reachable by float plane.
The lakes are located in the heart of unspoiled
wilderness and are only reachable by float plane,
ensuring the lodge guests a private fishing experience.
The lodge operates the only camps on these lakes. All
the outpost camps can accommodate up to 8 people and are
fully equipped with hot showers, running water, propane
lights, heat, range, barbecue grill, fish fryers,
refrigerator, deep freeze, cooking utensils, boats,
motors, mixed gas, life preservers and satellite phones
for communication.
Fishing
These lakes offer the lodge guests and any non-hunting
members a world class Canadian fishing experience for
walleye, trophy northern pike, and lake trout. This lake
is a High Quality Management fishery with a "catch &
release" policy on Northern Pike, Walleye, & Arctic
Grayling. These are strictly "fly-in" lakes. All the
lakes provide exceptional fishing for Trophy Pike and
Walleye in addition to Lake Trout and Arctic Grayling at
some lakes.
Due to the remote location and the short season, the
lakes only average between 24 to 40 fishermen a year. As
a result, the fishing is as good as it has ever been,
and the guests have a legitimate opportunity to catch
many Manitoba Master Angler Pike (41 inches or larger)
on each trip.
Location
The Fly-In Outpost Camps are located on Manitoba High
Quality Lakes within a 70 mile radius of Lynn Lake
Manitoba. Lynn Lake is located 650 driving miles north
of Winnipeg Manitoba. Highway 6 from Winnipeg to
Thompson is pavement. Highway 391 from Thompson to Lynn
Lake is a combination of pavement and all weather gravel
surface. It is located on a body of water which has two
portage lakes, one of which offers Arctic Grayling in
the outlet river.
Hunting (Moose, Bear & Timberwolves)
Guests of the lodge can experience "World Class" Big
Game Hunting for Black Bear and Bull Moose in Northern
Manitoba. The guests can hunt one of the newest areas
allocated in Northern Manitoba for nonresident black
bear. Also offers some of the largest moose that Canada
has to offer.
The lodges exclusive, 5,000 square mile area is located
NW of Lynn Lake. This new area has many trophy size
black bears in the 200 - 500 lb. range. A chance for a
Pope & Young and Boone & Crockett bear is a good
possibility. The bears in this area have received very
little pressure because of the vast remoteness of the
area. Approximately 30% of the bears in our area are of
a different color phase such as blondes, cinnamons and
chocolate browns.
Most of the hunting is by boat on lakes and rivers and
some 4X4s. Shots are taken from 10- 50 yards depending
upon if you are shooting with bow or gun. The lodge also
accommodates the physically challenged or elderly
hunter. Guests hunt with rifle, bow, cross bow or black
powder. Timber Wolves may also be taken on the bear or
moose tags.
The lodge offers some of the largest moose that Canada
has to offer. They can weigh as much as 1,600 pounds and
have antlers that reach 65 inches in width, with the
average being 50 inches. The lodge has exclusive
outfitting rights for an over 5,000 square mile
allocated area located 30-70 miles NW of Lynn Lake,
Manitoba.
The lodge takes a limited number of Moose hunters each
fall. This is the only outfitter allowed to take moose
hunters into this area and it is strictly fly-in with no
road access. Guests will not see other hunters and will
have a particular area all to themselves. Guests of the
lodge hunt by both boat and canoe on lakes and rivers.
In addition to the hunt for bear or moose, the week-long
hunting trip also includes unlimited quality fishing. A
majority of the moose and bear hunts take place on the
same lakes where the fishing camps are operated.
